For most of the browsing services we provide, we neither require nor collect "Personal Customer Information" -- your name, email address, billing address, shipping address(es), phone number and credit card information. You can browse the Smart Books Solutions website and take as much time as you want to review our books and other products, services and reviews without having to submit such Personal Customer Information. Even when you use our shopping cart as you browse, there is no need to submit Personal Customer Information.

In the following instances, however, we do need you to actively submit Personal Customer Information: when you want to (i) complete an order; (ii) subscribing to newsletters, contests, or other offers using any on-site FORMS, or (iii) submit customer comments.

Our first layer of security is a no-laptop policy: Any Information collected on our website is NOT stored on laptops to prevent data theft.

Pay pal uses this SSL technology to prevent such information from being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet. Our security policy: we will not share your personal information with any other party outside Pay Pal payment processing and this policy is currently in effect. Smart Books reserves the right to modify or amend this policy at any time by posting the revised Security Policy on our site. The changes will only affect the information we collect after the effective date of the change to our Security Policy which will be posted here unless we clearly express otherwise. 

ORDERING PROCESS

Placing an order with Smart Books Solutions is quick and easy. Customers can use either the Buy Now buttons or the Shopping Cart check out for a customized shopping experience. We do not store your credit card data or your credit card billing address. If you use the Buy Now button to purchase a product, you will have to reenter this information to make your next purchase. Shopping Cart allows you to browse and add to your cart as you shop--you will be able to complete your purchase entering data once at the time of check out.

1. Add Items to Your Cart

To shop at Smart Books Solutions, just locate an item you'd like to purchase and click the "Add to Cart" button. These buttons are usually found beside featured products. Clicking this button places the item in your Cart. Each time you click "Add to Cart," the page will refresh and display the newest item in your Cart, as well as previous additions, items of interest, and links to "View Entire Cart" or "Proceed to Checkout."

2. View Entire Cart

You do not have to view your entire Cart before you check out, but it's a great place to look over your order. The Cart displays all the items you have selected and lets you make adjustments. You can increase or reduce the number of copies you'd like to buy or remove items from your Cart. It also provides a subtotal -- before any shipping charges and taxes are applied -- for your purchase. Once you're comfortable with the items in your Cart, click the "Proceed to Checkout" button.

NOTE: If you do not complete an order, the items you place in your Cart will remain there until you terminate your shopping or until it automatically times out and expires. If You can come back within that time frame, click the Cart button appearing under the product you want to purchase and complete your order.

3. Proceed to Checkout

Check out is easy and you will be guided throughout the completion of your transaction including shipping and tax information if applicable.

4. Provide Shipping Details

You must provide shipping address for the order you are placing unless you are purchasing an Ebook-product. Once you enter this information, click "Continue." Depending on the composition of your order -- you may be asked for some or all of the following information:

  • A Shipping Preference
  • A shipping method  (for example, Standard Delivery) Smart Books ships all printed products via U.S. Post Office, regular or priority mail.

    Here you select your payment method. If your billing address is different from the shipping address you selected, you'll be asked to enter it now.  



    What is your Cart?

    Your Cart is a page that functions as the shopping basket for the items you want to buy, displaying all the items you've added to it. You can access your Cart by clicking the shopping cart icon found in the upper right corner of most pages on our site.

    How long will items stay in my Cart?

    Items will remain in your Cart during your shopping session. If you do not purchase contents in your cart, items will remain in your Cart until the shopping session is terminated or expires.

    I've added items to my Cart, how do I check out?

    Click the "Proceed to Checkout" button and you'll enter our Checkout process. You may be asked to provide purchasing information during your transaction if you haven’t done so already.

    How do I remove items from my Cart?

    Simply click the "Remove" link next to the item you wish to remove.

    Does the subtotal displayed in my Cart include shipping and taxes?

    No, the subtotal only includes the cost of the items in your shopping cart. Shipping charges and any applicable tax will be calculated during checkout.

    Reviewing And Placing Your Order

    You're almost done! On the Review page you'll find a summary of your order, including the final cost. Before you submit your order, you'll also have the chance to change any of the shipping or payment information you've entered thus far, or update your options. When you are ready, click " Buy Now or Complete My Order" to complete the ordering process.

    What is a Card Security Code?

    The Card Security Code (CSC) is a 3- or 4-digit number printed on your credit card. It provides added security when you use your card on the Internet or over the phone. The number appears only on the card itself, not on receipts or statements.

    We ask for the CSC when you enter your payment information or purchase by phone. This helps ensure that anyone placing an order with Smart Books Solutions has the card in his or her possession and is not using a stolen credit card number.

    For Visa, MasterCard and Discover Cards
    Turn the card over and look at the signature box. You will find either the entire 16-digit credit card number or just the last 4 digits, followed by the 3-digit CSC.

    For American Express Cards

    The CSC is always located above the account number on the face of the card, sometimes on the left side and sometimes on the right. Note: Some American Express cards have a 4-digit number below the account number. This is not the CSC.

    You can return your online purchases of most products to us for a full refund.

    Here's How It Works!

    Returning to Smart Books Solutions

    We'll refund your online purchase if you:

  • Return books in their original condition.
  • Include your packing slip and completed returns form.
  • Return within 30 days of the shipment date listed on your packing slip.
  • If a return is necessary, the customer must ship the product back to Smart Books at the address listed on the packing slip that came with the item.

    Note:

  • Eproducts are not refundable, although we will try to work with customers who are unsatisfied with their purchase.
  • Shipping charges are not refundable.
  • Returns made to Smart Books Solutions will be refunded in the form of the original payment method. Bulk orders of (5) copies or more are not returnable to Smart Books Solutions. E-books cannot be returned due to the nature of the digital product stored on your computer. If you are unhappy with any Ebook purchase we will consider refunding money on a case by case basis.
